Although Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) has conducted admission tests as a cluster for several years, this year, KUET will conduct admission tests independently. The KUET Admission  2025 process has already started with the publication of the admission circular.

KUET has invited applications from interested candidates to participate in the admission test for the first year of B.Sc. Engineering, BUET and B.Arch courses for the academic year 2024-2025. Applications must be submitted online. A total of 1035 regular students will be admitted in 16 departments in the faculty of Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

KUET Admission Circular 2025

KUET Admission Circular 2025 has already been published. It mentions admission eligibility, the application process, and the admission test schedule.

Application Eligibility

To apply for admission to the KUET Undergraduate Program, you must have the following qualifications:

1. The candidate must be a citizen of Bangladesh.
2. Candidates must have passed the Secondary or equivalent examination in 2021 or 2022 from any Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board/Madrasa Education Board/Technical Education Board of Bangladesh1 with at least a GPA of 4.00 or equivalent grade.
3. Candidates must have passed a higher secondary or equivalent examination in 2024 or obtained an 'A' level certificate in November 2023 or later.
4. Candidates must have passed the Secondary or equivalent examination from any Secondary and higher secondary education board/Madrasa Education Board/Technical Education Board of Bangladesh2 with at least a GPA of 4.00 or have passed the equivalent examination with at least an equivalent grade.
5. Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary/Alim/equivalent examination from any Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board/Madrasa Education Board/Technical Education Board of Bangladesh with a minimum total GPA of 18.00 (eighteen) in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English or from a foreign education board. Must have passed the equivalent examination in the said subjects with at least equivalent grade. Also, to be admitted to the Biomedical Engineering department, the concerned candidate must have a GPA of 4.00 in Biology in Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.
6. If the candidate has passed the GCE 'O' level and 'A' level, then to participate in the admission test, he/she must have passed the GCE 'O' level examination with at least a 'B' grade in at least five subjects. Must have passed GCE 'A' level examination with at least a 'B' grade in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics separately. Also, to be admitted to the Biomedical Engineering department, the concerned candidate must have passed the GCE 'A' level examination with at least a 'B' grade in Biology.
7. Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary/equivalent examination in 2022 from foreign educational institutions, subject to at least 12 years of study, must have at least 80% marks or equivalent grades in each of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English separately. The concerned candidate must have obtained at least 70% marks or an equivalent grade on average in the Secondary/equivalent examination.

Application Procedure

To apply for KUET admission online, students have to fill up the application form by visiting the specified website (admission.kuet.ac.bd). Then the required application fee has to be paid. Follow the instructions on the website to complete the online application form and submit it by paying the admission test fee.

• The application fee for the 'K' group (Engineering and URP) is 1100 Taka (one thousand one hundred Taka).
• The application fee for the 'K' group (Engineering, URP, and Architecture) is 1200 Taka (1,200 Taka).

Students have to upload recent photos and other necessary documents with the application form. Students are especially advised to apply at the right time of the application process.

KUET Eligible candidates List 2025

A merit list will be prepared based on the grade points of four subjects in Higher Secondary Examination Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English from among all valid applicants received within the stipulated time. If the number of candidates is high, the first 20,000 (twenty thousand) candidates from this list will be given the opportunity to participate in the admission test. These 20,000 candidates will be selected based on the grade points of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English respectively in the Higher Secondary Examination. In case of any new equivalent candidate among the 20,000th candidate, the opportunity to participate in the admission test will be given. The list of eligible candidates will be published on the admission website (admission.kuet.ac.bd) on December 30, 2024.

KUET Admit Card 2025 Download

Admission test admit cards will be made available online for eligible candidates. Students will be able to download their admit cards within a specified time frame. It is not possible to participate in the admission test without the admit card, so this part is very important. If you are Eligible to Participated in the Admission Test, Visit admission.kuet.ac.bd website and Login with your Credentials. Go to the Admit Card Section and Download your Admit Card. Print it color and bring into the Admission Test Center along with your Original Registration Card of HSC or Equivalent Examination.

Seat plan

On the day of the admission test, students will be seated in specific seats. The list of seating arrangements will be published on the university website before the commencement of the examination. Students should collect detailed information about seating arrangements from the website.

Marks distribution

A 3-hour MCQ exam of total 500 marks will be held based on the syllabus of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in the Higher Secondary Examination of 2024 and Functional English. It is to be noted that the admission test for 1st year B.Sc. Engineering, BEURP and B.Arch courses will be held on the same question paper.

Candidates willing to take admission in B.Arch course have to participate in 1 hour 100 marks freehand drawing test in addition to MCQ exam. The subject wise distribution of questions and marks is as follows:

KUET Admission Result 2025 will be Released on January 16, 2025 through the admission.kuet.ac.bd website. After the publication, students can see the results by logging in to the website using their roll number. Students selected on the merit list can take the necessary steps for admission.
