Nursing Admission Circular 2026
The official circular for the 2025-26 academic session (Nursing Admission 2026) has not yet been published.
Based on the previous year’s (2024-25 session) schedule, the admission circular for the 4-year BSc in Nursing, 3-year Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery, and 3-year Diploma in Midwifery courses is expected to be published in February or March 2026.
The admission test is tentatively expected to be held in May 2026.
All official announcements and the online application process will be handled through the official website: bnmc.teletalk.com.bd.
Candidates must apply for admission under the following conditions.
Eligibility for Application
Candidates must have the following qualifications to participate in the nursing admission test (based on previous requirements, subject to change in the 2026 circular):
- Candidates must be permanent citizens of Bangladesh.
 - Applicants must have passed HSC/equivalent in 2023, 2024, or 2025 and SSC/equivalent in 2021, 2022, or 2023.
 - 4-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc in Nursing): Must have a total GPA of 7.00 in both SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations from the Science group.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 in both SSC and HSC individually.
 - Must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 in Biology in the HSC or equivalent examination.
 
 - 3-year Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery / Diploma in Midwifery: Must have a total GPA of 6.00 in both SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations from any department (Science, Arts, or Commerce).
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.50 in both SSC and HSC individually.
 
 - In government institutions, 10% of the seats are reserved for male candidates for BSc in Nursing and Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery courses. For private institutions, this quota is 20%.
 - Candidates who have passed O-Level/A-Level examinations can apply by converting their mark sheets into the GPA prevalent in Bangladesh and collecting an Equivalence Certificate.
 
Application Form
Nursing admission applications must be completed online. The following steps of the application process should be followed:
- Applicants need to log in to the website bnmc.teletalk.com.bd. Before logging in, candidates should prepare their personal information and other necessary materials.
 - Applicants need to upload a recent color photograph (300×300 pixel size, jpg file, size not exceeding 100 KB) and a signature (300×80 pixel size, jpg file, size not exceeding 60 KB).
 - Own district, address, educational information, and the preference list of nursing college or institute codes must be provided correctly. There will be no chance to change this information after final submission.
 - Teletalk mobile must be used to pay the application fee. If the application fee is successfully submitted, the candidate will receive a confirmation message with a User ID and Password, which should be saved for future reference.
 - Candidates applying under the Freedom Fighter quota or other quotas have to follow certain conditions and submit the necessary documents.
 - Candidates should correctly fill in their permanent and present addresses. In addition, candidates have to provide their mobile number, which will be used for communication during the admission process.
 - After correctly filling in all the information, applicants need to click the submit button and save a print copy of the application form.
 
Application Fee Payment
After successfully applying online, the prescribed application fee has to be paid. The application will be finally accepted only after the application fee is paid.
Based on the 2025 circular, the application fee was:
- BSc in Nursing Course: Tk 700
 - Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery / Diploma in Midwifery Course: Tk 500
 
(Note: This fee is subject to change in the 2026 circular.)
The fee has to be paid via SMS through a Teletalk mobile. The application fee payment process is as follows:
- First SMS: Type BNMC <space> User ID and send it to 16222. A PIN number will be sent to the applicant’s mobile.
 - Second SMS: Type BNMC <space> YES <space> PIN and send it to 16222.

Admit Card Download
After the application process is completed, the admit card for the admission test has to be downloaded. Applicants can collect the admit card from the http://bnmc.teletalk.com.bd link within the stipulated date. The candidates will be informed primarily through SMS. If the admit card is lost, it can be collected again in the same process.
Admit card download is expected to begin in late April or early May 2026.
Admission Test Marks Distribution
The admission test is 100 marks (MCQ) held over one hour. The pass mark in the written examination is 40.
Subject-wise marks distribution for BSc in Nursing course:
- Bengali: 20
 - English: 20
 - Mathematics: 10
 - Biology: 10
 - Physics: 10
 - Chemistry: 10
 - General Knowledge: 20
 - Total: 100
 
Subject-wise marks distribution for Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery / Diploma in Midwifery:

Admission Result
The admission test results are usually published within a few days of the examination. After the results are published, applicants can go to the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council website (www.bnmc.gov.bd) or the admission website to see the results with their roll number. A merit list is prepared based on the admission test score (and GPA score, if applicable) and selected candidates have to participate in the further admission process.
Final Admission
Admission will be completed from the merit list first. Then, admission will be taken from the waiting list for vacant seats. Candidates selected in the admission test have to complete health check-ups and other procedures within the stipulated time for final admission.
Selected candidates have to submit the following documents for final admission:
- Original/Provisional Certificate of SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations.
 - Original Academic Transcript/Marksheet of SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations.
 - 3 (three) copies of recently taken passport-size attested color photographs.
 - Certificate (and relationship certificate) for Freedom Fighters quota, if applicable.
 - Attested documents for tribal/district quotas, if applicable.
