To enter the nursing profession in Bangladesh, one has to go through a specific admission process. Therefore, the purpose of this blog post is to provide all the information related to Nursing Admission 2025 for those who are interested in this profession. Nursing Admission Circular 2025

According to the Nursing Admission Circular 2025, candidates for admission to the 4-year BSc in Nursing, 3-year Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery, and 3-year Diploma in Midwifery courses in government, autonomous (military-civilian) and private nursing and midwifery educational institutions in the academic year 2023-24 have to apply online.

Online application will start on 12th March 2025 and end on 2nd April 2025 through bnmc.teletalk.com.bd. The last date for online application fee submission is 3rd April 2025. Admit card download will start on 25th April 2025, and the admission test will be held on 3rd May 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. 

The Admission Circular further states that candidates must apply for admission under the following conditions.

Eligibility for Application

Candidates must have the following qualifications to participate in the nursing admission test:

  1. Candidates must be permanent citizens of Bangladesh.
  2. Applicants must have passed HSC/equivalent in 2022, 2023 or 2024 and SSC/equivalent in 2020, 2021 or 2022.
  3. In case of admission to Bachelor of Nursing and Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery courses, 10% of the seats in government institutions will be reserved for total candidates. In the case of private institutions, a maximum of 20% of the fixed seats can be admitted as total candidates.
  4. 4-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc in Nursing Course): Must have a total GPA of 7.00 in both SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations in the Science department, but GPA in any examination will not be less than 3.00 and GPA in Biology in HSC or equivalent examination must be 3.00.
  5. 3-year Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery and Diploma in Midwifery: A total GPA of 6.00 in SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations in any department, but a GPA of less than 2.50 in any examination will not be acceptable.
  6. Candidates who have passed the O-Level/A-Level examination can apply by converting the marksheets into GPA prevalent in Bangladesh and collecting Equivalence Certificate.

Application Form

Nursing admission applications can be completed online. The following steps of the application process should be followed:

  1. Applicants need to log in to the website bnmc.teletalk.com.bd. Before logging in to the website, candidates need to save personal information and other necessary materials.
  2. Applicants need to upload a recent color photograph of the candidate (jpg file, size not exceeding 100 KB) of 300×300 pixel size and a signature (jpg file, size not exceeding 60 KB) of 300×80 pixel size.
  3. Own district, address, educational information, and nursing college or institute code should be provided on the Internet. There will be no chance to change this information, so fill it correctly.
  4. Teletalk mobile should be used to pay the application fee. If the application fee is successfully submitted, the candidate will receive a confirmation message, which should be saved for future reference.
  5. Candidates for the Freedom Fighter quota or other quotas have to follow certain conditions and submit necessary documents.
  6. Candidates should correctly fill in their permanent and present address. In addition, candidates have to provide their mobile number, which will be used for communication during the admission process.
  7. After correctly filling in all the information, applicants need to click the submit button and save a print copy.

Application Fee Payment

After successfully applying online, the prescribed application fee has to be paid. The application will be finally accepted only after the application fee is paid.

An application fee of Tk 700 for the BSc in Nursing course and Tk 500 for the Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery or Diploma in Midwifery course has to be paid. 

After paying the fee, a confirmation SMS with a User ID and Password will be sent to the applicant's mobile.

The fee has to be paid through SMS through Teletalk mobile. The application fee payment process is as follows:

  1. First, type BNMC User ID and send it to 16222. A PIN number will be sent to the applicant's mobile.
  2. Then type BNMC YES PIN and send it to 16222.

Admit Card Download

After the application process is completed, the admit card for the admission test has to be downloaded. Applicants can collect the admit card from the link http://bnmc.teletalk.com.bd within the stipulated date. The candidates will be informed primarily through SMS. If the admit card is lost, it can be collected again in the same process. Admit card download will start from 25th April 2024.

Admission Test Marks Distribution

The distribution of marks for the admission test is mentioned in the admission circular. Generally, the admission test is 100 marks, and these marks are divided based on different subjects.

  • Subject-wise marks distribution for BSc in Nursing course: Bengali-20, English-20, Mathematics-10, Science-30 (Biology, Physics and Chemistry) and General Knowledge-20.
  • Subject-wise marks distribution for Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery and Diploma in Midwifery courses: Bengali-20, English-20, General Mathematics-10, General Science-25 and General Knowledge-25.
  • The pass mark in the written examination will be 40.

Admission Result

The admission test results are usually published within a few days of the examination. After the results are published, applicants can go to the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council website and see the results with their roll number. Merit list is prepared based on admission test and selected candidates have to participate in further admission process.

Final Admission

Admission will be completed from the merit list first. Then, admission will be taken from the waiting list for vacant seats. Candidates selected in the admission test have to complete health check-ups and other procedures within the stipulated time for final admission. If the admission formalities are not completed within the stipulated time, the candidate's seat may be canceled. After the final admission is completed, classes will begin.

Selected candidates have to submit certain documents for final admission, which are as follows:

  • Original/Provisional Certificate of SSC or equivalent and HSC or equivalent examination obtained from the Education Board;
  • Original Academic Transcript/Marksheet of SSC or equivalent and HSC or equivalent examination obtained from the Education Board; 
  • 3 (three) copies of recently taken passport size attested (first class gazetted officer with name and seal) color photographs; 
  • For reservation of Freedom Fighters quota, the complete list of Freedom Fighters included in the Freedom Fighters Information Management System (mis.molwa.gov.bd) of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs website (www.molwa.gov.bd) where the candidate's son/daughter/grandson/granddaughter's With entry as per index/gazette number including certificate (relationship certificate) and attested photocopy of candidate's relationship with freedom fighter. 
  • To give a fair certificate to the municipality/district headquarters, the candidate has to provide his correct address and other information and submit the attested documents signed by the Deputy Commissioner. 
  • Admit a card for the admission test with a downloaded color photograph of the applicant from the admission course.
