DU 7 College Admission Circular 2025

The DU 7 College Admission Circular 2025 affiliated with Dhaka University for the academic year 2024-2025 was published on January 6, 2025. Applications will be accepted from January 6 to February 12, 2025. The number of applicants is expected to increase due to the admission test being conducted under Dhaka University. Eligibility for Application

To apply to the 7 affiliated government colleges, a candidate must have passed the SSC or equivalent examination from 2019 to 2022. The candidate must have passed the HSC or equivalent examination from any education board in 2024.

Subject to eligibility, candidates can apply for Science, Commerce, and Arts and Social Science units. Detailed information on unit-based eligibility can be found in the notice section of the respective unit on the admission website.

Application Procedure

To apply for the undergraduate program of the seven government colleges affiliated with Dhaka University for the academic year 2024-2025, you must apply online from 12:00 PM on January 6, 2025, to 11:59 PM on February 12, 2025. The last date for correcting information/photo (in special cases) in the application is February 19, 2025.

Applications for admission must be made through the website https://collegeadmission.eis.du.ac.bd. For admission application, the student's higher secondary and secondary information, current address and mobile number, quota information where applicable, and a photo of the size mentioned on the website will be required. 

The applicant has to deposit Tk 800/- (eight hundred) as admission test fee within the stipulated time through any branch of the four state-owned commercial banks of the country (Sonali, Janata, Rupali and Agrani) or online through debit/credit card, mobile financial services (bKash/Nagad/Rocket etc.). To download the admit card for the admission test, you need to log in to the website collegeadmission.eis.du.ac.bd. Higher Secondary Roll Number, Higher Secondary Passing Year and Secondary Roll Number will be required to login.

Seat Plan

The detailed seat plan will be available on the Dhaka University admission website (http://collegeadmission.eis.du.ac.bd) 48 hours before the admission test. In addition, applicants will be able to know their respective seat plan through SMS according to the instructions on the admit card.

On the day of the examination, you must take your seat at the designated center 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of the examination.

Marks Distribution

All candidates for admission must participate in the admission test of the designated unit in the undergraduate program. The admission test will be in MCQ (MCQ) method. Total marks will be 100 for 100 questions. The pass mark for the admission test is minimum 40% i.e. 40 (forty) marks. Those who get less than 40 marks will not be considered for admission.

The questions of the admission test will be according to the syllabus followed in the Higher Secondary Examination of 2024 and each candidate has to answer the questions of total 04 subjects. Total marks for each subject is 25. If a candidate wishes, he/she can appear in the examination in any one subject between Bengali or English instead of only the 4th subject of Higher Secondary level.

Merit List Determination

A merit list will be prepared according to the merit score obtained by the candidates based on a total of 120 marks. The GPA obtained in Secondary/O Level and Higher Secondary/A Level examinations should be multiplied by 2 and the two numbers obtained should be added. The marks obtained in the admission test will be added to this and the merit score will be determined out of a total of 120 marks.

DU 7 College Admission Result

Merit list will be determined based on the merit score obtained in the written examination. After the publication of the results of the written examination, it will be published on the Dhaka University admission website (http://collegeadmission.eis.du.ac.bd). Candidates will also be able to know the result through SMS.

Subject Choice

After the written examination for admission, the written online college and subject choice form (College and Subject Choice) must be filled up. Later, the information regarding the distribution of departments according to the choice and merit list of the admission test and eligibility for admission will be published on the university website (https://collegeadmission.eis.du.ac.bd). In case of candidates finally selected for admission, the original mark sheets of SSC and HSC will be deposited in the respective college.
